This hotel is located in the Interlaken suburb of Matten just a pleasant 10 min walk to the village green-like Hohematte and 15mins from either Interlaken-East or -West stations.
Room Types
This is a simple hotel, and the rooms are not luxurious, varying a lot in size between very small and medium sized, the rooms are decorated in a mixture of styles and furnished with old fashioned furniture. Aesthetes will recoil in horror at some of the bedspreads, but overall these are fun, friendly rooms designed for the backpacker or student on a tight budget. Guests staying in rooms without facilities will find shared bathrooms on the same floor as their rooms. These are simple, but clean and in good condition despite being a little old-fashioned.

This was once a very grand building and the restaurant reflects this with its gorgeous high corniced ceiling, polished parquet floor and huge casement windows.
