A holiday in the Outer Hebrides, also known as the Western Isles, offers a chance to experience a wide range of attractions, from historical archaeological treasures such as Callanish stone circle, to the latest, ultra modern An Lanntair arts centre, in Stornoway. Stroll beside thundering rivers or meander over loch-sprinkled moorland. Visit white shell, sand beaches that look like they just came out of a film and perhaps paddle in the sea, warmed by the Gulf Stream. There's always something interesting to do, such as bird watching, cycling, hiking, fishing, golf, photography and lots more. It is also possible to play billiards, and there is a golf course around 1 km away. All this is made that much more enjoyable by the warm hospitality of the Hebridean people.
