Surrounding Area
The hotel is situated in Taunton's town centre in the heart of Somerset, which is only 2 miles from exit 25 of the M5 and only a few minutes from the train station. This is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent countryside that surrounds this area from the rolling Quantock Hills to the Somerset Levels, one of Europe's last great wetlands.

The hotels bedrooms are all individually decorated and furnished to a high standard in a traditional elegant style. All the bedrooms are large in size and in very good condition. The bathrooms are medium in size and in excellent condition, all with bath and shower.

Dining Facilities
The Restaurant is on the ground floor, elegant and formal, serving excellent English and international cuisine. The newly decorated restaurant has a Michelin star and has won a host of other awards including "Best outside of London" in Tatlers Restaurant Awards 2002.
Alternatively, there is a contemporary brasserie with its starlit dome and fibre optic lit dome with great food in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Directions From the M5 South
Exit the M5 at Junction 25. Take the Taunton exit off the roundabout (4th exit) Straight across the next roundabout. Following the road through the traffic lights past Creech Castle along the dual carriageway, keeping to the inside lane. At the next roundabout take the filter lane to the left, follow the road and take the right hand lane towards the centre of Taunton.
Stay on this road, going through 4 sets of traffic lights keep in the far right hand lane, at the top of the hill go through the traffic lights, LIFE will be on your left.
Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights to the war memorial roundabout in the town centre. Taking the first exit you will go immediately through a set of lights, keep on this road passing the Mecca Bingo Hall on your right until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn right and drive past the bus station, the Hotel is straight in front of you. (DB 08/07)
