The Crowne Plaza Cambridge is ideally situated in the heart of this historic city. Only 2 minutes walk to the shops and colleges, including Kings, Queens, Trinity and Jesus. The hotel is only 10 miles from Duxford Air Museum, 15 miles from New Market and historic Huntingdon and 20 miles from Ely. Cambridge is also considered to be a gateway to the beautiful Norfolk Broads. Having recently undergone a major refurbishment, it is now the only four-star deluxe hotel in the city. Stansted International airport is 22 miles away and can be easily accessed by road or rail. The hotel offers 198 newly refurbished en suite bedrooms, ranging from superior, executive or suites. These also include non-smoking rooms and rooms for the disabled. All rooms feature international direct dial telephone, modem connection, cable / satellite remote control colour television, 24-hour in-house movies, mini bar, bathrobe private bath, separate hanging closet, trouser press, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and wake-up calls. Safes and work desks with a lamp are only available in superior rooms and suites. A turndown service is obtainable on request only. The hotels funky new luxury suites offer an exciting new option to staying at the Crowne Plaza Cambridge City Centre. These rooms have been designed in a contemporary style to appeal to both the corporate traveller and leisure guest. The suites have additional features such as king-sized bed, air spa bath, and lounge area, dining area, additional toiletries and work desk/dressing table. A DVD/CD player can be obtained but only in selected suites. The hotel suites are ideal for the perfect wedding nights, anniversary or birthday celebration or to accommodate a company VIP. Crowne Plaza Cambridge's Bloomsburys bar is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Cambridge's busy streets. With its informal feel and surroundings it is a great place to while away a morning with friends or meet colleagues for afternoon tea. Light dishes are available throughout the day catering for a wide range of tastes. The bar is also an excellent place to meet up before an evening out, guests can invite friends for an aperitif or a quick informal half. Non-residents are more than welcome to enjoy what the bar has to offer any day of the week. Bloomsbury's Restaurant offers all day dining with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotels traditional Irish pub, the only Irish pub in the city, serves authentic Irish beers and light meals, and features a DJ at the weekend. Crowne Plaza Cambridge provides flexible meeting facilities for up to 250 delegates, a fully equipped Business Centre and the latest audio-visual technology. For banquets and weddings, the hotel can cater for up to 120 people. The Conference Centre is easily accessible by stairs or lift, and each conference suite shares an elegant foyer area suitable for teas, coffee and / or buffet lunches. This area is very flexible, giving clients the opportunity to use it as a relaxing place for guests at break times, or a more formal area for registering guests. The new fresh and funky 'Fitness Room' is the newest feature in the hotel. The gymnasium boasts the most up to date cardio vascular and muscle toning equipment with large screen televisions. Amarantes offers excellent services and are always looking to make sure guests enjoy their stay, with so much to offer at such reasonable ranges. This hotel comes highly recommended.
