Running from the Palais du Louvre along the Seine to Notre Dame and including Les Halles and Le Marais, this area is home to some of the most outstanding attractions of Paris and is easy to explore on foot. Must sees are the smaller than you think Mona Lisa and the controversial glass pyramid at the Musee du Louvre. Just along the river you’ll come to Notre Dame, the fantastic cathedral on the Ile de la Cite, immortalised in film by Victor Hugo’s Esmerelda and Quasimodo!
