The Sana Classic Rex Hotel is situated in the city centre with a special location, overlooking the beautiful Park Edward VII and 20 minutes by taxi from the Lisbon International Airport. The hotel is very close to the main business and shopping areas and within walking distance to the city centre. Built in 1969 it was completely renovated in 1998, to cater for both leisure and business guests. The cities train station Marques Pombal is within a 5 minutes walk therefore making many of Lisbon's tourism attractions easily accessible. The hotel has 59 rooms and 9 suites equipped with air conditioning, cable television, radio, direct dial telephone, mini bar, fax facility, safety deposit box and double glazed windows. The in room private marble bathroom with shower are provided with a hairdryer, shaving mirror, music and telephone. Room service is available on request between 10am and midnight and non smoking rooms can be obtained. The hotel has a cosy lobby equipped with style and traditional Portuguese flair. The Cozinha d'el Rey the medieval country style famous restaurant is open daily for American buffet breakfast from 7am to 10.30am. Buffet service at lunchtime or a la carte menu for dinner is also available. Laundry and dry cleaning service can be used from 7am through to midnight. At the hotels 24-hour reception guests can enquire about car rental, currency exchange a baby sitting service and city tours. There is a conference room at the top of the building, which has seating for up to 80 people and a car parking facility nearby. Although this hotel does not provide any leisure activities tennis courts and a golf course are only 7 km away.
