Book Early, Save Money!
When arranging your own travel, it pays to book early. Airlines like easyJet and Ryanair increase their prices as seats are sold and so the closer you get to departure date, the more expensive a flight will be. Hotel prices are fairly constant but availability can be a problem if you leave it too late.
The graph below shows the cost of a typical weekend city break for two in Europe. Notice that no-frills flight prices generally increase as time goes on and that hotel prices generally stay the same. This means that the best time to book is 2 to 3 months in advance.
